Offensive Security has announced the availability of the popular operating system Kali Linux for Raspberry Pi 4, this is great news for hackers and security experts.

Kali Linux

Raspberry Pi 4 is a single-board computer developed in the United Kingdom by the Raspberry Pi Foundation, it was officially released in June 2019 with a 1.5 GHz 64-bit quad-core ARM Cortex-A72 processor, on-board 802.11ac Wi-Fi, Bluetooth 5, full gigabit Ethernet (throughput not limited), two USB 2.0 ports, two USB 3.0 ports and dual monitor support (4K resolution).

Kali Linux is known to be the Linux distro for ethical purposes, it is widely adopted by experts and penetration testers.

Now Kali also supports the latest version of the Raspberry Pi with the release of a new build.

“You can download Kali Linux for the Raspberry Pi 4 on the Kali ARM download page. Currently we only have 32Bit support for it, but expect 64Bit in the near future. The installation instructions are not any different than the Pi2, so feel free to follow our docs on getting it setup if you don’t know how.” reads the official page for Linux Kali.

“Once you have it running feel free to let us know how its working for you on our forums.”

Linux Kali distro for the Raspberry Pi 4 also supports an onboard Wi-Fi monitor mode and frame injection support, but it is only available for 32-bit architecture. Offensive security plans to release a 64-bit version in the near future.

You can download Kali for the Raspberry Pi 4 from the Kali ARM download page, a detailed installation guide is available here.
