Luxury-goods conglomerate Cartier disclosed a data breach that exposed customer information after a cyberattack.

Cartier has disclosed a data breach following a cyberattack that compromised its systems, exposing customers’ personal information. The incident comes amid a wave of cyberattacks targeting luxury fashion brands.

The luxury firm states that the threat actors gained access to “limited client information.” Compromised data includes customers’ names, e-mail addresses, and countries.

“We are writing to inform you that an unauthorized party gained temporary access to our system and obtained limited client information. We contained the issue and have further enhanced the protection of our systems and data. We have also informed the relevant authorities and are working with leading external cybersecurity experts.” reads the data breach notification sent to the impacted customers.

“Based on the investigation, we determined that this incident may have affected some of your information, specifically your name, e-mail address and country. The affected information did not include any passwords, credit card details or other banking information.”

Cartier notified law enforcement and is investigating the security breach with the help of an external cybersecurity company.

The company did not share additional details about the attack.

Due to the data involved, the company warns customers to stay alert for unsolicited or suspicious communications.

Recently, other luxury and fashion brands were victims of cyber attacks, including Adidas, Dior, and Victoria’s Secret.
